Youth Group News!!!!
Our youth hosted our first annual Veterans Day/Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner on Saturday, November 11th at the Whaley's home. It was a great opportunity for our youth to interact with those that have served our country in the military. We shared stories of each other's lives. We hope you like the picture that was taken. December will be another busy month. On Saturday, December 9th we’ll be visiting the VA Hospital to spend Christmas with some veterans that don’t have a chance to go home or have family in the area. On Friday, December 15th we’ll have Multiply at 6:30pm and join five other youth groups to celebrate Christmas, play games, and eat. On Sunday, December 17th our Children’s Christmas Program and Celebration will take place. We would like to invite everyone to come out and be a part of the service and celebration. Our youth need to be at the church at 4:15. The program will start at 5pm. On Friday, December 22nd we will serve food at Family Promise at Grandview Christian Church at 5:30. Lastly, December 31st will be “Youth Sunday.” That night we’ll have a New Year’s Eve Party at the Whaley’s Home (Time is TBA). We also have had a GREAT start to our high school Sunday school class. Each of our youth are now keeping a prayer journal. They are also answering guided discussion questions to help us grow in together in Christ. Some of the topics include: Society & Life, Just for You, Home & Family, Spiritual, etc. Lastly, I would like to thank you all again for your continued support and prayers. We are thankful for you. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
