Youth Group News!!!!
WOW!!!  What a busy October we had.  We attended the first ever 'Fields of Faith' at SHHS's Kermit Tipton Stadium on October 12th... Our youth really enjoyed worshipping with hundreds of their friends on the football field.  Fields of Faith was open to everyone in the community, all schools, all ages, many youth groups attend (using the event as an outreach!).  This was and is an awesome event that several other area schools have done for years with great success!!  On Thursday, October 13th, we headed over to Westminster Presbyterian Church to listen to Coach Philip Fulmer (former UT coach) about how to be a strong leader in the church.  We were blessed by the message that he brought.  The rummage sale was on Saturday, October 22nd from 8-2.  It was a huge success!!!  Thank you for your donations.  We were able to raise over $800.  This will greatly defray the cost of our Mid-Winter Youth Gathering and our mission trip to New York next summer.  Our Fall Festival on October 29th from 4-6 was also another huge success.  We were able to host over a hundred individuals from the community surrounding Bethlehem.  We have another busy month ahead of us.  On Saturday, November 5th, we are attending the archeological Bible study at Bethlehem at 9am and then heading out for a canoe trip on Watauga Lake.  We’ll have lunch and dinner on one of the islands.  On Saturday, November 12th, we are opening this meeting to our junior youth for a “Family Fun Night” at Real to Reel at 6pm. We will be watching Pete’s Dragon.  On Saturday, November 19th, we’ll head over at 6pm to “Multiply” for a Thanksgiving Dinner.  This is a time to connect with many different youth groups of the tri cities and share things that we’re thankful for, have worship, and pray.  We will not have you on Saturday, November 19th.  Many of you have told me that you’ll be traveling.  Once again, we are thankful for you.  Keep your faith, hope, and love in the Lord.  Your brother in Christ,  David Nutter
