August and still hot!!!

WOW!!!  What another busy summer.  We’ve done a lot this month to beat the heat.  We attended Jonesborough Days at the beginning of July.  We learned a lot about our region’s history by touring museums, listening to stories, and watching the crowd enjoy some live bluegrass music.  We also met at the bowling alley where Silas Whaley showed and stunned the group by his bowling skills.  Cameron and Kylen also showed their skills by bowling a few strikes.  Lastly, we were able to attend FunFest in Kingsport.  Our group climbed rock walls, challenged Marines to pull-ups, and watched a few hot air balloons take off.  All in all---we had a great summer.  August will be another busy month.  We are planning on going to the Aquatic Center for a back to school pool party in Kingsport, going to Bays Mountain in Kingsport, and attending Multiply.  We look forward to sharing those pictures with you in the September newsletter.  We are currently looking at some dates for our rummage sale.  If you have any unwanted items at your house---we would love any donations.  This is our biggest fundraiser of the year.  Once again, we are thankful for you.  Keep your faith, hope, and love in the Lord.  Your brother in Christ,  David Nutter
