Dear Congregation,
On behalf of our youth group, I would like to thank you all for being so supportive.  As you well know, this past month has been very tough on our youth in loss of Ashlie Padgett. We have grown closer in many ways through visitations, the funeral, a candlelight ceremony at her softball field, and a hike as a group.  Your prayers have been felt by the Padgett family, the youth, and all of those who knew Ashlie.  All I can say is thank you for being there for our youth in this time of grief.  We hope you enjoy the few pictures of Ashlie during some of our youth mission trips.  Her absence, at our youth meetings this month has been felt.  Ashlie would want us to continue to serve Him throughout all of it though.  So, we did…  Mr. and Mrs. Calhoun (from Indian Trail Intermediate School) desperately needed our youth to help move boxes, furniture, home décor, etc. due to a recent surgery on his heart.  Our youth took on the need with helping hands.  They were humbly grateful for our service to them.  We were also able to cool off from that project by getting a milkshake from Sonic.  We were also able to go see the movie “God’s Not Dead 2” at Reel to Real this month.  We highly recommend you see it.  We also headed to Flag Pond, TN where we met up with 5 other youth groups for “Multiply.”  We had a bonfire, cookout, games, devotions, and so much more.  We hope you enjoy those pictures.  July will be another very busy month.  We will meet at 6:30 on July 9th to go bowling at Holiday Lanes.  On July 23rd, we’ll go out to Watauga Lake to have dinner (build a fire, roast hotdogs, make s’mores, etc.).   On July 30, we go to “Multiply” for games, songs, and devotions.  "Youth Sunday" will be on July 31st.  Wow!!!  Busy.  Busy.  Once again, we are thankful for you.  Keep your faith, hope, and love in the Lord.  Your brother in Christ,  David Nutter
