Youth Group News!!!
September was another busy month for our youth.  On Saturday, September 1st, our youth went to the bowling alley.  It was a time of fun and fellowship.  It came down to the tenth frame to see who would win.  We also went to the movies to see Unbroken: Path to Redemption.  Based on Laura Hillenbrand’s bestselling book, UNBROKEN: PATH TO REDEMPTION begins where the hit movie Unbroken concludes, sharing the next amazing chapter of the unbelievable true story of Olympian and World War II hero Louis Zamperini.  Haunted by nightmares of his torment, Louie sees himself as anything but a hero. Then, he meets Cynthia, a young woman who captures his eye—and his heart. Louie’s wrathful quest for revenge drives him deeper into despair, putting the couple on the brink of divorce. Until Cynthia experiences Billy Graham’s 1949 Los Angeles Crusade, where she finds faith in God and a renewed commitment to her marriage and her husband. Now, her most fervent prayer is for God to help Louie find the peace and forgiveness he so desperately needs. Our youth really enjoyed the movie.  October is another busy month.  On Sunday, October 7th, we will distribute Bibles to the veterans at the VA during out Sunday School hour.  On Sunday, October 14th, we’ll distribute Bibles to NHC during our Sunday School hour.  On Saturday, October 20th, we’ll head over to Madeline Lewis’s home to help her clean up her yard sale items and take the left overs to Bethlehem for our bi-annual rummage sale.  If you have any donations, please let David Nutter know.  The youth would be glad to come and pick it up.  On Sunday, October 21st, we’ll head over to the mini dome at ETSU for the Adoration Youth Conference.  On Saturday, October 27th, we’ll have our annual Fall Festival.   Thank you again for your continued support and prayers in our youth.
