In preparation for our Special Called Congregational Meeting to call an Associate Pastor, the Church will remain open all day from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m on Saturday, April 23rd to allow folks to come and pray about
the Call process and ask for guidance from the Holy Spirit in making a decision. You may come at any time that is convenient, stay as long as you wish, and leave when you wish. This is a very important step for Bethlehem and everyone needs to make a concerted effort to be informed and guided by the Holy Spirit. The Call Committee has worked very hard in reviewing all the candidates, conducting Zoom meetings for interviews and made every effort to make sure the right person is chosen for the Associate Pastor of Bethlehem. The Special Called Congregational Meeting to call an Associate Pastor will be held on Sunday, April 24th 2022 at 9:15am in the fellowship hall. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to speak to any member of the Call Committee: Heidi Davidson, Chair; Cary Allen, Susan Burkey, Megan de Nobriga, Ken Marshall, Micah Mehl, John Port, David Sibley and April Tester. The call committee has been diligently praying and working through the list of candidates we received from the Mid-south District President. In February, we completed a first assessment of all ten candidates based on information provided from the Mid-south District President. The committee did narrow this list and is in the process of scheduling conversations to learn more about the candidates and share who we are at Bethlehem. As we enter into the season of Lent, we expect this portion could take a few weeks to complete. The congregation is encouraged to review the full list, which is located in the Fellowship Hall. If there are questions or concerns about any of the candidates, please direct those to one of the committee members. Please continue to pray diligently for the Holy Spirit to guide the committee, our congregation, and our future pastor.
Your servants in Christ, The Call Committee (Heidi Davidson, Cary Allen, Susan Burkey, Megan de Nobriga, Ken Marshall, Micah Mehls, John Port, David Sibley, April Tester) Last year, Bethlehem was blessed with a gift that allowed our church to establish an Endowment Fund. The purpose of this fund is to spread God's blessings outside our walls and into the local community. There are very specific areas where Bethlehem can assist community organizations in showing God's blessings through the TriCities area. We are approaching the time of year when we may be able to provide local organizations with some financial assistance. Should you have any potential beneficiaries, please submit the name of that organization along with their contact person's information to a member of the Endowment Committee or to the church office. Also consider supporting this ministry with a tax-deductible contribution to our Endowment Fund. You can simply contribute by making a check out to Bethlehem and put Endowment Fund in the remarks section of your check.
